New Name- New Look- Now in HD!

While we've been busy finishing this season's wedding edits, we did some editing to the studio also! We have a new corporate identity, pictured in the blog header you see above, and new company colors: chocolate & pink. We changed the name to 'Joseph F Bauer Studios' to better describe the type of contemporary boutique service that we offer, and had a new logo designed. Pretty cool?
To go along with all those changes, we'll now be shooting in HD. The technology has advanced to the point where we can't deny that an HD picture is clearer and more detailed, and the cameras which we've just purchased are just as sensitive in low light as our old SD cameras, so no worries about bringing flood lights with us to the reception!! We're excited. It's going to be a great year for artistic video and a great year for our new company! We're shooting our first HD wedding in January, and well post some clips both here and on our website (www.yesmem.com) for you to check out.

Latest Movie

We've been working hard to complete the videos which we filmed earlier in the year. The latest on we're editing is from August 2nd. We got some beautiful shots. Christina and Dan, you're gonna love this movie! Here's a peak at the opening.

Allison & Chris- August 30th, 2008

Allison & Chris were married at the Pine Knob Mansion. What a beautiful setting!! The photographers, Harold & Robyn from Modern Photoglyphs took full advantage of the lovely grounds and historic building. We really enjoyed working with them. The DJ was Dave from Solid Gold Sound. He helped to deliver the sound for the ceremony, even though it wasn't originally part of his contract. We concentrated the trailer on the couple and the beautiful surroundings, because they were both soo impressive in their emotional expression. Here's the trailer of their day:

Carly & Rob

Carly & Rob were married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fraser. Their reception was held at Club Monte Carlo. We worked with DJ Mike Shea, from Shea Sounds. Mike's a great DJ to work with! The wedding party spent the time between the ceremony & reception at the Heritage Gardens in Shelby Township. When Carly & Rob came in to record their voice-over for their wedding film, Carly asked if she could have a movie trailer...So...Here's the trailer of their day:

Julie & Tom

Julie & Tom were married at the White House Wedding Chapel. This was our first time filming at this location. It was very elegant, but rather small. Julie was a beautiful bride and Tom was the cool (at least on the outside) groom. The photographer was one of our favorites, Amanda Williams. We worked with DJ Eric, from Music Box for the second week in a row,LOL! The wedding party spent the time between the ceremony & reception at the Edsel Ford Estate...very cool! Misty & Brian

Last Saturday's Wedding (August 9th)was certainly unusual. For one thing, it rained and rained, and ,yet, everytime the bride and groom had to go out...it stopped! The reception was held at Partridge Creek. The Power went out in the middle of the bridal dances, but the photographer, Martin Sonders, saved the day by bringing in his generator. The DJ was Eric, from Music Box. Thanks for keeping your cool through all the power problems, and for helping us with the sound for the montage, which was very well received. Christina & Dan

Congratulations to Christina & Dan! It was a wonderful wedding. Christina was a beautiful bride and Dan kept everyone in stitches with his comments about everything. We also had the opportunity to work with Kathleen Voss of Kathleen Voss Photography for the first time. She was alot of fun to work with and I'm sure Christina & Dan will have tons of fabulous pictures. Dan & Mario from Elite Entertainment manned the DJ booth.
